I am a chocoholic, I admit it. No bones about it. If I have to pick a food to be stranded on a dessert island with chocolate is it. The darker the better! And right here in my neck of the woods we have chocolate factories. Lucky lucky me. I had previously posted about my Escazu Artisan Chocolates visit and how neat it was, a very eclectic place.
Well . . . . . here is my latest chocolate factory adventure . . . . . . . TA DA!
Videri Chocolate Factory in downtown Raleigh! This place is amazing! I loved the look and feel of the red brick and I knew when I walked through the door I was going to be amazed! Of course the smell was just pure heaven as you can well imagine.
And the choices seemed endless! I truly was in heaven.
They invite you to wander around and take the self-guided tour through the “factory” area and then return to the counter for a free sample. . . . . . . . MY KIND OF TOUR . . . . . a chocolate reward at the end!
As you walk, the chocolate story unfolds and you are able to see all the ingredients that go into making this wonderful treat.
Here are just a few of the steps to the end product.
And the actual work in progress.
The final step (my personal favorite)! Sorry this is a bit blurry, I was shaking with excitement.
Oh what choices!
Do you think they would miss ONE tiny little sack?
If you are looking for something special and just a little unusual for that someone special for Valentine’s Day Videri is the place. Walk through the door, close your eyes, inhale all the chocolaty goodness and imagine how wonderful it tastes! “From Bean to Bar to Bliss” says it all.

If I lived there I think I would take the tour at least once a week. Real chocolate. I’ll take an Expresso Ganache on my first tour, but I’ll be back to try a truffle or two.
Both sound like great choices to me. They are also going to put a coffee area in soon. Can you imagine my two favs! Coffee and chocolate. I will be down there weekly!
I never should have read this early in the morning! Now, I have to go and grab and eat every piece of chocolate I see!!!!
Me too! That is my downfall for sure.
Wow! I love the looks of this place! So jealous that it is so close to you, Alessa. Enjoy some of those chocolates for me, okay?
Actually Amy, it is close to me, Tammie. I live in NC. Alessa lives in SC. And of course I will enjoy some of their wonderful chocolate3 just for you!!! Thanks for visiting today.
Goodness gracious me…. Its like Willy Wonker’s Chocolate factory ! How much did you take home with you ?
It sure is! I limited myself to just enough for a treat, but believe me I wanted a bar in every flavor!!!! It is so delicious. Thanks for visiting today Anita-Clare.
